The trust is seeking a Full time (10PA) Speciality Doctor to work within the Older Peoples Care Unit at Hazelwood House.
Nottinghamshire Healthcare is a major provider of specialist mental health services for older people in Nottingham City and the wider county. The service caters to the needs of all people suffering from dementia, regardless of age; and those aged over 65 years, presenting with severe and enduring mental health illnesses, such as depression.

This is a 10 PA post based in City and South County (Broxtowe) IHTT. The doctor will provide clinical and medical leadership to the MDT and will lead the assessment and treatment of patients under their care for the IHTT catchment area, under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr. Katie Ward.

The IHTT (City and South County) currently receives approximately 64 referrals/month, of which approximately 20% are assessed by medical staff during the treatment episode. The remainder of patients are discussed during MDTs where treatment plans are formulated. All patients are assessed by an IHTT clinician within 24-48 hours of receiving the referral.
