Permanent and Fixed Term
With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week; there will be no change in full time pay.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified, experienced dental nurses to join the Dental Nurse team within Dundee Dental Hospital & School. The post holder will be expected to work throughout the site covering a variety of specialities including:

  • Oral Surgery
  • Oral Medicine
  • Restorative Dentistry
  • Orthodontics
  • Paediatric Dentistry
  • OMFU services
    There may also be a requirement to provide dental nursing support for the service within Broxden Dental Care Centre. This post provides an opportunity to develop specialist nursing knowledge and skills.

You will work within a clinical team that values patient safety and the delivery of safe, effective, high quality care within a challenging environment. You should have the ability to work within a large diverse team and be committed to delivering high standards of care.

You should have evidence of continuing personal development and demonstrate excellent communication skills along with a commitment to influencing change and improving standards of patient care.

You must possess a recognisable Dental Nurse qualification and be registered with the UK General Dental Council.

Current NHS Tayside Employees - Written approval must be sought from your line manager prior to applying for this secondment. You will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview.

Hours of work are: 37 hours per week or part-time hours also available.
