Job Title: Trust Grade Doctor
Location: Kingfisher Mother and Baby Unit, Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich

Package Details:

  • All new starters receive up to £12,000 relocation package.
  • CPD is paid at a higher level of £2000 per annum, with the facility accumulating annual funding for up to three years to accommodate accessing higher-cost development opportunities.

About the Unit:
In 2019, NSFT opened Kingfisher Ward, a Specialised Commissioned Mother and Baby Unit based at the Hellesdon Hospital site. This post relates to the whole of the county of Norfolk, providing care to a population of approximately 931,900 people, with around 7700 live births per year in Norfolk. The perinatal service in Norfolk consistently and significantly exceeds the access target of 670 patients in a rolling 12-month period.

NSFT is an active member of the regional perinatal provider collaborative, employing the clinical lead for the collaborative. Alongside the community perinatal mental health teams and inpatient MBU ward, NSFT’s perinatal services include a Parent and Infant Mental Health Service.

Role Expectations:
The post holder is appointed as a senior professional to provide advanced professional expertise and clinical leadership. The post holder is expected to:

  • Conduct him/herself in a manner that helps the Trust deliver its strategic and business objectives.
  • Act as an ambassador at the interface with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that at no time the Trust is brought into disrepute.
