An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join the Day Care Unit & Urology Suite.
Do you have a positive and welcoming attitude? Are you polite, friendly and interested in people? Are you looking for a career progression? The unit has 21 trolleys with a fast high turnover of patients all undergoing day surgery, plus the new urology suite, offering a variety of procedures.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with an interest in providing direct patient care to a high standard. Good communication skills are essential, as is an ability to work well with others and independently. This is a busy, friendly environment where teams are required to have a pro-active approach to a rapidly changing service. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in all surgical day case specialties and Urology Care.
The successful applicant will join a dynamic team working in a friendly multi-disciplinary environment. The role will concentrate on tasks that directly support the needs of the day case patients and assist them in their journey, which includes nurse-led discharge. You will be expected to deliver high quality individualized care to patients. The Urology suite is also a fast turnover area for urology procedures. You will work alongside the Unit Manager by providing leadership within your clinical role.
