With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week; there will be no change in full-time pay. An excellent opportunity has become available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Teams. This position will be based at Community Mental Health Team East, located at the Alloway Centre, with the potential for relocation to other areas of our community-based services in response to service developments and future needs.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will provide leadership to the wider Occupational Therapy team at Community Mental Health Team East and deliver specialised interventions through both individual and group sessions. The appointed individual will receive comprehensive support from our experienced Leadership Team, aimed at fostering service development and enhancing the professional growth of the Occupational Therapy team.

Applicants must be currently registered with the HCPC and possess a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy. Our commitment to ongoing supervision and professional development will support your growth and success in this specialist role.
Hours of work are 37 hours per week. The service currently operates 9am-5pm Monday to Friday; however, there is an aspiration for community services to be 7 days per week, which you would be required to participate in.
