Job Description

Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner passionate about delivering high-quality, same-day patient care at the front line of primary care?
We're looking for a highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our innovative, multidisciplinary team.
Working under the professional supervision of our Chief Medical Officer (GP), you'll be the first point of contact for adult patients presenting with acute illness or undifferentiated symptoms, helping people access timely, effective, and person-centred care within a 15-minute appointment model.
You'll work alongside GPs, Physiotherapists, Clinical Pharmacists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Social Prescribers, and other allied professionals to offer evidence-based joined-up care that puts patients first.
Together, we're rethinking how acute care is managed in General Practice, and we want you to be part of it.
Who We Are
Founded in August 2020, Primary Care Physio has scaled rapidly and is one of the fastest-growing clinical service providers in the UK.
Underpinned by our reputation for quality and sustainable care, we have already been established as England's largest national specialist ARRS clinical service provider, focused solely on supporting NHS Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and their GP practices to deliver high-quality and tech-enabled NHS primary care clinical solutions.
Our services are recognised as best-in-class for our industry, recently winning the 'Best in Primary Care & Diagnostics' LaingBuisson 2023 award.
Through our talented employed team of nearly 400 employed First Contact Practitioners, Nurses & Advanced Practitioners, supported by experienced and Health Education England-trained clinical supervisors, we have been commissioned by approximately 200 NHS Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to deliver an integrated and locally managed clinical service.
We now serve over 1000 GP practices and a patient population of over 9 million, conducting over 1 million patient consultation appointments per year.
Role Profile
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will manage patients presenting with same-day and urgent clinical needs.
You will work autonomously within a clearly defined scope of practice using your advanced clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and prescribing skills to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality care under the professional supervision of our Chief Medical Officer (GP), with access to peer ANP and ACP networks for case discussion, reflective practice, and supervision.
You'll assess, diagnose, and manage undifferentiated presentations (largely acute minor illnesses), including identifying red flags and initiating appropriate treatment or referrals.
