We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated therapy team at Riverston Secondary School, in Lee London, which is part of the Cavendish Education Group.
The ideal candidate will be sensory integration trained or have relevant training and experience working with children with sensory processing difficulties. They will have experience working in schools and with SEN pupils, particularly with Autism and ADHD. Pupils may also have associated learning differences including Dyslexia and Dyspraxia as well as anxiety issues.
The post holder will work collaboratively with education staff, therapists, and the student and family to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our pupils. You will be responsible for holding an Occupational Therapy caseload of students who may present with a variety of functional and sensory needs and may require support to access aspects of their education. Most students will have an EHCP and you will be responsible for providing the OT provision for those who have it quantified.
With the full support of our well-established and knowledgeable Therapy Team, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation, whole school programs, and reflective practice. This position would suit an enthusiastic and creative individual, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. You will be able to make clinical decisions and manage a busy workload of both direct and indirect provision.
You will also be responsible for providing clinical supervision to other members of the OT team – including OT assistants at Riverston School.
