The Mental Health division of Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust comprises three directorates: Adult Mental Health, Mental Health Services for Older People, and Specialist Services. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to work within the Horizon Day Services at Highbury Hospital, Bulwell, Nottingham.

The role will require an individual with the ability to work effectively under the direction and leadership from a registered professional in the provision of care to a specific patient group within the directorate:

• Assisting with all the activities of daily living, addressing the physical and mental health care needs of patients - promoting individual health and wellbeing.
• Undertake, record, and report clinical observations as directed by the registered professional.
• Assist in the activities for the patient within the environment which involve accompanying/escorting patients outside the ward environment.
• To maintain accurate, timely, and relevant clinical records both written and computerized. To maintain the safe custody of healthcare records.
• To treat the patients as individuals and enable them to achieve maximum independence.
• To undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of the role.
