Miryco Consultants are working with a leading health insurance provider seeking two experienced Senior Market Pricing Analysts to drive their retail pricing strategy across a range of individual and SME health insurance products. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing pricing team where data-driven decision-making and innovative modelling techniques shape commercial outcomes.

This role offers a balance of technical pricing work, model optimisation, and strategic influence. The successful candidate will play a key part in refining and optimising retail pricing models, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance behavioural, demand, and market pricing models using Radar, ensuring robustness and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor model performance and recommend adjustments to maintain optimal pricing accuracy and trading performance.
  • Implement and refine optimisation and rating models to achieve targeted volume and value outcomes.
  • Provide data-driven pricing recommendations for both existing and transitioning portfolios.
  • Support portfolio management in evaluating new propositions, offers, and tests, ensuring adherence to fair pricing principles.
  • Collaborate with data and systems teams to improve the quality and reliability of modelling inputs.
  • Coach and mentor junior analysts, conducting peer reviews and driving continuous improvement.
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams including Distribution, Propositions, Finance, and Compliance.

Skills & Experience

  • Deep expertise in retail pricing data, statistical modelling (including GLMs and machine learning techniques such as GBMs), and price optimisation within the insurance sector.
  • Strong understanding of actuarial principles, reserving, and P&L dynamics.
  • Extensive experience using Radar pricing software.
  • Degree (2:1 or above) in a mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative discipline; actuarial study progression desirable.
  • Solid understanding of the regulatory environment for UK insurance.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to convey complex insights clearly.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with a focus on delivery, innovation, and collaboration.
