Specialist Clinical/Counselling Psychologist - East Berks

Slough

Full-Time, Part-Time

Immediately

Job Description

Are you a HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist looking for a new challenge within a multidisciplinary CAMHS service?
Would you thrive working as part of our team that values well-being, connection, and collaboration both inside and outside of work?
We are looking for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our SCT team based in Slough. We are open to either full or part-time hours for the right person.

Working in our service, you will be part of a skilled multidisciplinary team dedicated to assessing, treating, and coordinating care for children and young people with moderate to severe and complex mental health needs. As a senior clinician, you’ll deliver evidence-based interventions, provide supervision to junior colleagues, and play a key role in the clinical leadership of the team.

As a service, we are proud that we are more than colleagues—we’re a team that genuinely supports each other. We offer weekly MDTs, weekly referrals, QI training, regular huddles, and the opportunity to get involved in projects for service development.

Well-being is at the heart of what we do, and as well as practicing this in the workplace, many of us regularly take part in group activities outside of work, which we find strengthen the connections that make us so effective in our professional roles.

So, if you are looking for a role where you can make a real difference—while being part of a team that values your well-being & celebrates success—this could be your next step.

  • Provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families, as appropriate.
  • Provide care co-ordination for young people open to the service.
  • Independently manage an appropriately sized caseload.
  • Use supervision effectively.
  • Offer supervision and training to junior colleagues and other agencies as appropriate.
  • Work with colleagues to support the clinical leadership of the team.
  • Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and within a multi-agency system.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice.
  • Contribute to audit, service development, and research, as appropriate.
  • Maintain own continuing professional development and contribute to team professional development initiatives.
