Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, compassionate, & highly motivated Team Leader Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly team at the OXFORD CANCER CENTRE. Patients are at the heart of everything we do, and we are seeking Radiographers who are dedicated to delivering care with both compassion and respect. Our department is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including:

  • Varian Halcyons
  • Varian TrueBeams including 6DoF, RGSC, and SRS capability
  • Siemens CT GoSims
  • HDR

All networked by ARIA. We are a multi-site centre with satellites in Swindon & Milton Keynes – 3 sites, 1 team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be primarily responsible for leading and co-ordinating the day-to-day clinical operations of the linac in accordance with the policies of the department and trust.
  • Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring patients have accurate and consistent planning and treatment.
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support and train members of the team to maintain and develop professional and personal skills and standards.
  • Assist the Pre-Treatment and Treatment Lead Radiographers and Radiotherapy Satellite Operational Manager in the implementation of change within the radiotherapy service.
  • Provide expert advice on treatment procedures and treatment-related side effects and their management to patients and their carers.
  • Liaise with other disciplines to ensure total coverage in all aspects of patient care.
