We’re thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Therapeutic Radiography Degree Apprenticeship Programme within the Radiotherapy Department at the Oxford Cancer Centre.

In partnership with the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, we are looking to recruit two motivated and enthusiastic individuals to embark on this three-year degree apprenticeship—a unique opportunity to earn, learn, and make a difference.

The BSc (Hons) Therapeutic Radiography Degree Apprenticeship provides the chance to train as a qualified Therapeutic Radiographer while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a world-class cancer centre. You’ll develop a strong understanding of the science behind effective cancer care, learn to use cutting-edge radiotherapy technology, and work closely with patients to plan and deliver life-changing treatments.

Upon successful completion, graduates will be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Therapeutic Radiographer.

  • Perform a range of radiotherapy procedures and duties as outlined in the apprenticeship programme, always under appropriate supervision.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 (IRR17), Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 (IRMER17), and all relevant health and safety legislation, protecting patients, staff, and the public at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with the Radiotherapy Assistant team, supporting departmental operations and contributing to a positive and safe working environment.
