Job Description

Job Title: Occupational Therapist
The post is to provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and treatment to patients on the acute medical & surgical inpatient wards. The case load is across the acute medical, surgical, respiratory & cardiac wards including the Intensive Care Unit.
The post holder is responsible for allocating work to and supervising the work of others.
Responsibilities include:

Providing specialised assessment and treatment of acute medical conditions, including patients with:
- COPD
- Neurological disorders
- Cardiology related conditions
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Age related conditions
- Falls
- End of Life
- Complex social circumstances
- Surgical patients such as post abdominal surgeries
Evaluating treatment and quality of care for patients in your own case load and patients delegated to others (e.g., junior staff, students).
