Occupational Therapist – Full Time (37.5 hours)
Location - Near Romford, Essex
Salary - £44,000

Our client, a specialist independent healthcare provider, is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join their clinical team at a therapeutic hospital set within nine acres of peaceful countryside. The service offers a calm, nature-rich environment that supports recovery and overall wellbeing.

Role Overview
As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll play a key role in supporting adults on their rehabilitation journey. Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you will help shape personalised treatment plans and deliver evidence-based interventions that empower individuals to live more independently and confidently.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out holistic assessments covering physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental needs
Create and deliver tailored treatment programmes focused on self-care, work, education, and leisure goals
Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental adjustments, providing training to service users where required
Deliver both 1:1 and group therapy sessions using a range of therapeutic approaches
Work closely with clinical colleagues, families, and carers, ensuring accurate documentation and ongoing review of progress
Contribute to a supportive and person-centred therapeutic environment

About You
The work is meaningful and varied, and you’ll need resilience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills to thrive in this setting.
The ideal candidate will have:

A recognised degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
Current HCPC registration
Experience in an OT setting; exposure to specialist areas such as neuro-rehabilitation is beneficial
Strong communication, coaching, and counselling skills
The ability to manage emotionally and physically demanding situations while maintaining a compassionate approach
