Job Description

Job Overview
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to work with us.
Please see below for detailed job description of the role.

Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen to join the nursing team on our adult cardiac ward (E3 Blue). E3 is an adult cardiac ward with a specialist focus on cardiac surgery and therefore has strong links with the cardiac surgical team. We also care for patients with heart failure and those pre and post cardiology interventions.

Ward ethos: 'We pledge to care for you, the patient, as we would want our relatives to be cared for. We will treat you as an individual and aim to reach the best possible outcome. We will achieve this by working together, involving you and your loved ones in decisions that are made and by using the expertise of other members of the multidisciplinary team as required. We will continue to strive to maintain our high standards of care by furthering the knowledge of our staff and listening to your concerns. You are at the heart of what we do.'

Working for our organisation

We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalizing your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.
At UHS we’re committed to providing a flexible working environment where possible. Whether you are balancing family, study, or your wellbeing with your career, we want to support you so you can help our patients.
At UHS, we proudly champion individuality, recognizing that outstanding care is only possible with a diverse, inclusive team.
