Clinical Deputy Manager

Location: Richmond Villages Painswick, Stroud Road, Painswick, Gloucestershire, GL6 6UL
Salary: £42,265.8 pa, plus £1000 Welcome Bonus!!
Contracted Hours: 36 hrs
Shifts: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 8 pm with occasional weekends

The shift pattern means the Clinical Deputy Manager (CDM) is on the floor for 12 hours, leaving 24 hours supernumerary to support the Care Home Manager (CHM) with clinical audits, medication ordering, supervisions and appraisals, and to stand in for the CHM when they are on leave.

We are looking for a Clinical Deputy Manager to join the team. The successful applicant will have experience working as a Deputy Manager or Lead Nurse, ideally within a care home setting, and will have experience of working within a dementia care setting.

You can count on a thorough induction when you start to help you settle into your new role, followed by ongoing training and development, including access to apprenticeships. This also includes access to our online portal, which has a variety of resources to aid personal development and free access to LinkedIn's online learning platform.

You'll help us make health happen by:

  • Reporting to the Home Manager, guiding and supporting our nursing team to continuously improve the quality of care for the residents, ensuring compliance with our clinical governance framework.
  • Writing and reviewing care plans, assessing residents' individual physical, mental, and social needs.
  • Mentoring and motivating a team of nurses, championing residents' safety and dignity, driving continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining and promoting relationships with GPs and medical contacts in the community and local professional bodies.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Currently working as a manager or senior nurse in a care home setting with people living with dementia and holding a valid NMC pin number.
  • Experience managing a team of nurses, understanding the benefits that the right clinical care can bring to people's lives; previous experience in elderly and dementia care is advantageous.
  • Approachable and open, a natural leader ready to share their clinical experience, leading and mentoring a team of nurses.
  • Enthusiastic and compassionate with a genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and expanding professional development.
