Mental health services in Manchester are commencing their journey around community transformation, working towards a new community mental health framework vision for a place-based community mental health model.

Job Opportunity: Registered Mental Health Nurse
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse post within our North Manchester Specialist Community Mental Health Teams based in our exciting new and modern base at the Central Park Hub.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong clinical skills who is enthusiastic and motivated to support our Specialist CMHTs with the aim of delivering safe, effective, and high-quality services to our service users.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse who will relish working within the vibrant and challenging environment of Manchester. They will be an autonomous practitioner who is able to work within an established MDT. They will have a level of expertise in this area and have a key role in the assessment and treatment for patients accessing a service within the SCMHT.

Core Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, although some flexibility will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals referred to secondary mental health services for assessment or ongoing care.
  • Demonstrate the Trust values of inspiring hope, working together, being caring and compassionate, valuing and respecting others/ourselves, and being open and honest.
  • As a qualified Nurse, demonstrate and live the NMC values as identified in the Code of Practice.
  • Work with individuals using research-based interventions to promote their independence and recovery while maintaining high-quality clinical documentation.
  • Respect individuality, values, cultures, and religious diversity of clients and colleagues, contributing to the provision of a service sensitive to these needs.
