Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Research Nurse with proven clinical research expertise to support the start-up and delivery of our clients' first studies within a growing clinical research unit. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple therapeutic areas, contribute to site development, and take on future line-management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day study management on site, ensuring high-quality, compliant delivery of clinical trials.
  • Work independently to manage early studies during unit start-up.
  • Perform and oversee study procedures, data collection, safety reporting, and protocol adherence.
  • Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless study execution.
  • Contribute to the development of site processes, workflows, and SOPs as part of the clinic’s initial set-up.
  • Support participant recruitment, scheduling, and visit coordination.
  • Provide training and guidance to research nurses and clinical staff.
  • Potential to progress into line-management, supervising other Research Nurses as the unit grows.

Key Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse in the UK/NMC
  • Clinical Research experience in a lead role
  • ASAP, this is a very urgent hire with studies kicking off from the end of December so we need someone available immediately or at relatively short notice
  • Driving License
