Health & Social Care Trainer
Location: Chesterfield (with travel across the organisation as required)
Salary: £30,000 - £33,280 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Your Role
As a Health & Social Care Trainer, you will:

  • Deliver engaging induction sessions for new recruits (covering safeguarding, medication, autism, CPI)
  • Provide refresher training across our services to maintain compliance and best practice
  • Deliver CPI foundation, advanced, and emergency courses across multiple sites
  • Support managers and teams with tailored training solutions to meet service needs
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Keep up to date with legislative changes and incorporate them into training content
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design innovative learning materials
  • Travel across our organisation to deliver training (driving licence and own car required)

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in Health & Social Care training or a similar role within the care sector
  • Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Trauma-Informed Care
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of legal and professional frameworks, including Restraint Reduction Network and Human Rights legislation
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification - foundation and advanced (preferred)
  • Experience delivering induction and refresher training across multiple care topics (safeguarding, medication, autism, CPI)
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and ability to adapt training styles to different audiences
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively
  • Empathetic, approachable, and committed to improving care standards
  • Driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential for travel across sites)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Teaching or Training qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of current national standards and best practices in care delivery
  • Previous experience in learning disabilities, autism, and mental health support services
